About Synthixx Tools

Synthixx Tools is a project of Synthixx Technologies. It is a collection of 104 free tools for the small, annoying file jobs that come up in ordinary work: a PDF that has to be split before you can email it, a photo that is three times larger than the upload limit, a scan that needs its pages in a different order.

None of those jobs are difficult. What makes them painful is everything wrapped around them — installing a program you will use once, making an account, waiting for an upload, then finding a watermark across the result. We started this site to remove that wrapper.

Your files never leave your device

This is the part that matters most, so it is worth being precise about it. Most online file tools work by uploading your document to a server, processing it there, and sending a result back. That means a copy of your file exists on someone else's computer, and you are trusting a deletion policy you cannot check.

Our tools do not work that way. They run inside your browser using WebAssembly and the HTML canvas — the same technology that lets a browser play a game or edit video without installing anything. When you choose a file, it is read from your disk into your browser's memory, processed there, and written back out as a download. It is never transmitted to us. We could not hand over your documents if we were asked to, because we never receive them.

There is an honest trade-off. Because the work happens on your machine, a very large file on an old phone will be slower than it would be on a server, and a few operations are simply not possible in a browser at all. We would rather state that plainly than quietly upload your files instead. Each tool page lists its own limits.

What we removed, and why

Earlier versions of this site listed far more tools than it does now. When we went through them one by one with real files, a number did not actually do what their page claimed — some depended on a backend that was never finished, and others produced broken output in edge cases. We turned those off and removed their pages rather than leave them listed.

Password-protecting and unlocking PDFs are the clearest examples. Both are genuinely popular requests, and both are missing from this site on purpose: we could not implement them correctly in the browser, so there is no page pretending otherwise. A tool that half-works is worse than one that does not exist, because you only discover the problem after you have already trusted it with a file.

What goes on a tool page

Every published tool has been run against real files, and its page is written from what the code actually does rather than from a template. In practice that means each page states:

  • what the tool produces, including the name of the file you get back
  • the real limits — how many files, which formats, what it will refuse
  • the settings that exist, and what each one changes
  • what it cannot do, where that is likely to surprise you

If you find a page that describes something the tool does not do, that is a bug and we would like to know about it. Reports like that are the most useful mail we get.

Who is behind the site

Synthixx Tools is built and maintained from Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, by a small team rather than a company with a support department.

  • Jawad Zaheer Kyani — Founder, Owner & Developer, based in Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Writes and maintains the tools themselves.
  • Muhammad Shafi — CEO, Synthixx Technologies.

How the site is paid for

The tools are free and there is no paid tier. We intend to cover hosting through advertising, which is why our Privacy Policy describes advertising cookies. Advertising never has access to your documents — they stay on your device, so there is nothing for an advertiser to see.
