Synthixx PDF Tools is a set of free utilities for the everyday jobs people do with PDF files: merging and splitting, deleting, extracting and rotating pages, converting to and from Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HTML, EPUB and images, adding watermarks and page numbers, filling forms and running OCR on scanned pages.
The tools run in your browser using open-source libraries (pdf-lib, pdf.js, Tesseract.js and others), so the file you choose is not uploaded to our servers. That also means the tools have honest limits: conversions between PDF and Office formats extract and rebuild text and basic structure rather than reproducing the original layout, and there is no cryptographic encryption or digital-signature tooling here. Each tool page states what it does and what it does not do.

Are the PDF tools free?
Yes. The tools on this site are free to use, need no account and add no watermark to the files they produce.
Are my PDFs uploaded?
No. The PDF tools process the file inside your browser tab, so it is not sent to our servers. Because the work happens on your device, very large files depend on your device's memory and can be slow.
Which tool should I use first?
