Tool results

Synthixx Tools automates tasks such as document conversion, compression, page extraction, and image processing. We test our tools, but no automated conversion is perfect. Fonts may be substituted, layouts may shift, metadata may be removed, and compressed files may lose quality.

Some limits are not faults in a particular tool but consequences of the formats themselves. Converting a PDF to a document format recovers the text but not the original layout, because a PDF stores placed characters rather than paragraphs. Saving a JPEG discards detail permanently. Turning a photograph into a PDF fixes it at the size it already had. Each tool page states the limits that apply to it, and we would rather you read them beforehand than discover them afterwards.

Check before you rely

Keep an untouched copy of every source file. Open and review each output before printing, publishing, submitting, signing, or deleting the original. Results are not professional, legal, medical, financial, or technical advice.

Checking matters most where a mistake is expensive or hard to reverse: a document going to a court, an employer, a university or a government department; anything about to be printed in quantity; and anything whose original you are about to delete. Scroll through every page rather than only the first, since problems often appear at the end of a file.

OCR and recognised text

Optical character recognition guesses at the letters in an image, and it is wrong often enough that output must be proofread before it is trusted. Faint print, skewed photographs, handwriting, unusual fonts and low-contrast scans all increase the error rate. Mistakes are easy to miss because the recognised text sits invisibly behind the original picture, which continues to look correct. Never rely on recognised figures, names, dates or account numbers without reading them against the source.

Hiding is not removing

Several operations change what is visible without deleting anything. Cropping a PDF adjusts the page area while leaving the content outside it inside the file. Drawing a box or a watermark over something adds a layer above it rather than erasing what is underneath. Both can be reversed by anyone who edits the file. Do not use them to conceal confidential information such as names, signatures, addresses or account numbers, because the information is still there.

Signatures and verification

Tools on this site that mention signatures inspect the structure of a document. They do not validate certificates, check whether a document was altered after signing, or establish that anyone actually signed it. Nothing here should be treated as legal proof of authenticity. Where that question matters, open the file in software that performs full signature validation and rely on its verdict.

Your device sets the limits

Every tool runs inside your browser, so speed and capacity depend on your own device rather than on our capacity. A large file may be slow on an older phone, and a very large one may exhaust the memory your browser is willing to give a page, which usually appears as a tab that reloads or an operation that stops. Closing other tabs, working on fewer files at a time, or using a desktop machine are the practical remedies.

Availability

A tool may be unavailable during maintenance or may fail because a source file is damaged, encrypted, unusually complex, or unsupported. We do not guarantee that every file can be processed or recovered. The set of tools offered here also changes: we withdraw tools that do not work reliably rather than leave them listed, so something you used before may not be here later.
