FAQ

Can I use the output as a link preview image?

1200x630 is a common landscape size for that purpose. How a platform then displays it is up to the platform; this tool only produces the file.

How is a square photo handled?

It is scaled to 1200 pixels wide and cropped vertically, keeping the middle 630 pixels of height.

Is anything stretched?

No. Scaling is proportional and the excess is cropped.

Can I add a border or background?

Not with this tool. Use Canvas Resize if you need the full picture inside a bigger frame.

Do small images get enlarged?

Yes, since the output is always 1200x630. Images smaller than that are upscaled and may look soft.
