Scales an image to a percentage of its original width and height, from 10 to 200 percent, keeping its proportions. The percentage is applied to the image's own size, so you do not need to know its pixel dimensions.

How to Use

  1. 1Add one image in the drop area.
  2. 2Drag the Resize slider to the percentage you want. The label under it reads Shrinking, Upscaling or Original size.
  3. 3Click the button, which reads Resize to followed by your percentage (for example Resize to 50%).
  4. 4Download the resized image.

FAQ

Is 50 percent half the file size or half the dimensions?

Half the dimensions: width and height are each halved, so the pixel count drops to about a quarter. File size usually falls noticeably too, but not by an exact amount because it depends on the format and image content.

Does upscaling to 200 percent add detail?

No. Enlarging only interpolates existing pixels, so the picture gets bigger but not sharper. Use it for fitting a slot, not for recovering detail.

Can I set an exact pixel size instead?

Not on this page, which only offers a percentage. For exact dimensions use the Image Resizer, or use the Aspect Ratio Converter if you also need a specific frame shape.

Can I choose the output format or quality?

No. The output keeps the source format, worked out from the file extension, at a fixed high quality. To change format afterwards, use the Image Converter, or the Image Compressor for a smaller file.
